FLY ZULU

Hailing from Trinidad and Tobago, Fly Zulu lives at the intersection between Caribbean, African, and Latin cultures. A native to the Los Angeles Caribbean scene since birth via Inglewood CA. Zulu brings a mix of energy and musical curation like no other. With deep roots in Soca music, a genre that was born in Trinidad and translates to the "Soul of Calypso" invented by Lord Shorty in the 1970's. It is a multicultural music of African, Spanish, and Indian decent, and powers the biggest Caribbean Carnival Celebration in the world. Being immersed in this vibrant culture has cultivated a creativity that spans into songwriting, graphic design, and cooking. He has also co created a monthly Sunday Brunch Series that has been running for 5 years called "The R&Brunch" with his company Urban Society Long Beach. Fly Zulu is a visionary with a purpose!
